Gift yourself a gentle one-to-one postnatal recovery session at home with your baby.   I am qualified to offer this session for you and includes your baby anytime from birth when delivery is natural or 2 weeks after any intervention.   You are welcome to join a class from 4 weeks after birth or as soon as you feel ready.  Seek your GP/midwife’s approval if you have any health concerns with regard to you or your baby.

What the classes cover

My postnatal yoga begins with gentle movement reclaiming your body after birth, focusing on postnatal realignment of the spine, closing the body after birth, pelvic floor and abdominal recovery; developing strength from the inside out.  Classes begin from 4 weeks post birth (or after 6 week check if medical approval is required).   This is an opportunity for you as a mum to do something for yourself!  Particular attention is paid to toning and strengthening the pelvic floor and abdominals.   Muscle tension arising from feeding or carrying your baby is alleviated by specific stretches which release and open the back and shoulders.    Spinal and pelvic alignment exercises help improve posture and ease lots of the common aches and pains of new mums.   Starting gently, there will be a gradually build up to develop more strength, stamina and flexibility as the weeks go by, mum and baby classes will be tailored to suit their needs.
